Academics

“At NES, we recognize education as a set of building blocks preparing students to reach their full potential and become productive, responsible, and successful citizens.”

We provide students with the necessary resources and tools to become educated, empowered, and inspired on their journey to adulthood.

With an updated approach to national curriculum framework (NCF) and national education policy (NEP), schools’ faculty guides students through a challenging academic program that provides a firm foundation and cultivates a sense of gratitude and responsibility toward the community, at large.

Beginning in preschool, students develop critical leadership skills, so that when they reach middle school, they emerge confident, poised, and prepared to succeed at the secondary and senior secondary levels and beyond in their lives.

Our curriculum is built on the traditional subjects of math, language, arts, social studies, and environmental science. Students gain vital skills in math, reading, technology, writing, and world language, while they improve their ability to solve problems, think critically, and be creative.

We enrich it further with courses in a wide variety of special area subjects and extra-curricular activities. We are committed to each student’s development—intellectually, emotionally, and physically— and preparing them for lifelong learning.

Our four school divisions strategically address student needs at every level and provide the support necessary to help them achieve their individual goals.

Early Years

Three, four and five-year-olds learn through play, while building a powerful educational foundation. This is when they discover that learning is both fun and challenging – it’s when they build confidence, self-esteem, and find independence bit by bit, in an environment that feels like family.

Primary School

During the primary years, students grow academically and are challenged to reach higher levels of intellectual achievement with the support of their teachers. Instruction is a combination of teacher-directed, individual exploration and collaboration among peers, allowing for multiple modes of learning.

Middle School

Using a skill and competency-based curriculum, the middle school promotes interdisciplinary learning through challenge and exploration. Continued emphasis on leadership skills and character development, with guidance from teachers and advisors, is hallmark of the Middle School experience. By the time they complete eighth grade, students have demonstrated their maturity and readiness for high school.

Senior School

The Senior School promotes intellectual curiosity. In academics, students have the opportunity to investigate areas of new interest, even as they develop and sustain areas where they have particular expertise or talent.
